Euphonium
Byron Sanborn

 

Byron is a founding member of Puget Brass and after a couple of years hiatus is back having fun with his friends. At this time he is playing Baritone with Puget Brass but has also played Euphonium and Bass Trombone .

He is the co owner of a Vintage Race Car restoration shop in Redmond.

Byron started playing Euphonium in 5th grade and picked up Trombone and Bass trombone so he could play in the jazz bands and orchestra in high school. He discovered Drum and Bugle corps while in Junior High and marched for 6 years.

Flash forward a few years to college at Western Washington University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Euphonium Performance. Since leaving WWU he as performed with The Washington Wind Symphony, Bellevue Philharmonic, Seattle Philharmonic, Northwest Symphony, Lake Union Civic Orchestra, Renton Concert Band, Brass Band Northwest, Rainier Symphony, Seattle Wind Symphony, Tuba Company (tuba/euphonium quartet) and various big bands in the Seattle area. He also freelances in the area “Have Horns will travel”.

Byron lives in Issaquah and when he is not working on race cars or playing music he likes to actually race some of the cars, snow ski and travel.
